ECsens is a multidisciplinary research group with Chemists, Physicists, and ICT Engineers of the University of Granada, working jointly since 2000. Our general goal is to design, develop and fabrication of sensors, portable instrumentation, and microfluidic devices for analysis and monitoring with application in various fields. Our expertise is:

• Development of novel (bio-)chemical and physical sensors
• Wide experience with Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) sensors.
• Printable and flexible electronics/sensors on plastic/fabric/paper substrates.
• Design of miniaturized ultra-low power consumption, wireless electronic instrumentation and IoT systems.
• Smartphone as key tool for IoT systems.
• RFID/NFC as powering and communication technology.
• µPADs and µTAS devices for chemical analysis
• Multi/hyperspectral instrumentation.
• Main results in biomedical, health, environmental and agrifood applications.
